Nothing here needs explaining. That is the appeal, and it is also the constraint the group is built under. A classic that has been improved is usually a classic that has been ruined, so the rules are the rules, and the work went into the parts a browser normally gets wrong.
Mostly that means the controls. Falling blocks has a row of buttons rather than a swipe, because a swipe that rotates a piece by accident is worse than no swipe. Snake has a four-way pad with a stick in the middle, and the arrows stay ordinary buttons so it can be played by anyone who cannot drag. Minesweeper flags a square with a long press. None of that is standard.
These are the games on the site with no age band attached. A seven-year-old and their grandmother can share a device and both be playing at the top of their difficulty.
Each keeps a separate record per difficulty. An easy board and an expert one are never compared.
Common questions
Do I need to download anything?
No. They run in the browser, and once loaded they keep working with no connection at all.
Are these the real rules?
Yes. The names and the artwork are ours rather than anyone else's, but the rules are the ones you already know.
Can I play on a phone?
All of them. The controls were redesigned for touch rather than mapped onto it, which is where most browser versions of these fall down.
